Oklahoma CyberKnife Celebrates Six Years of Service to Cancer Community

This month is an important milestone for Oklahoma CyberKnife as we recognize six years of helping patients throughout Oklahoma fight and beat cancer. As a proud partner of Hillcrest Medical Center, we have treated more than 1,000 patients since opening in 2008.

Lung and brain tumors represent the majority of cases treated at Oklahoma CyberKnife, encompassing more than 65 percent of treatments. We also treat a large volume of patients diagnosed with prostate cancer.

In use for more than 20 years in the cancer industry, CyberKnife technology treats tumors throughout the body with stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT). CyberKnife SBRT for prostate cancer involves five or fewer treatment sessions, minimizing disruption to men’s normal routines and lifestyles.
