Movember and Men’s Health Awareness
This November marks the ten-year anniversary of Movember, a global campaign focused on raising awareness of important men’s health issues including mental health and prostate cancer. Each year millions of men vow not to shave through the entire month while fundraising and spreading the word on health issues most important to them.
At Oklahoma CyberKnife, we support the cause by continuing the conversation on how men can prevent, monitor and treat prostate cancer. Our center provides a noninvasive treatment option for prostate cancer called stereotactic body radiation therapy. The treatment is delivered with advanced CyberKnife technology. Many patients seek the nonsurgical CyberKnife approach to minimize side effects or long recovery periods that other treatment options may require.
If you’re interested in participating in Movember and prostate cancer is an important issue to you and your family, start talking about prostate health and leading conversations in your community. To learn more about how you can participate in Movember, click here.
